During the height of the Trudeau years, Aunt Al started proclaiming the veracity of a story with it’s True Doh’. That’s one of the many things that have come flooding back over the past few days. Another is the time we spend picking Dandelion heads, so Aunt Al and Uncle Jim could make Dandelion Wine. Although I have never tasted said wine, I am given to understand it was never of VQA quality Thank you Aunt Al for your humour, your dedication to family and for letting me know that we were loved. Rest in peace. Cathy

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts are with you. Lorna Lacaille

You won a place in my husband’s heart – right from the start. I’m so glad to call you my ‘Aunt Al’ and want you to know that, although we will miss you more than imaginable, we know that that to be absent from this life means to be present with the Lord. What a comforting thought! Thank you for all of the life lessons you taught us. Rest in peace. Cathy

My Aunt © Megan Stokes I thought I saw her face today In the sparkle of the morning sun. And then I heard the angel say âHer work on earth is done.â? I thought I heard her voice today Then laugh her hearty laugh. And then I heard the angel say âThereâs peace little one at last.â? I thought I felt her touch today In the breeze that rustled by. And then I heard the angel say âThe spirit never dies.â? I thought that she had left me For the stars so far above. And then I heard the angel say âShe left you with her love.â? I thought that I would miss her And never find my way. And then I heard the angel say âSheâs with you every day.â? My deepest condolences Karen
