I met Alex at Ashley and Jason's wedding. He was a sweet kid and very helpful with the younger ones.

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Alex Gauvreau on Sunday, December 10th, 2023 at the age of 19 years.
Alex will be deeply missed by his father Mark Gauvreau; his sister Telyssa; his grandparents: Rene Gauvreau & Pasty Peddie and Marty & Cheryll West. He will also by missed by his best friend Nathan MacLean; his uncles: Jason (Ashley) Gauvreau and Andrew West; his aunt Cara West as well as many cousins, extended relatives and friends. Alex was the son of Cheryll Neil.
Alex loved spending time in the great outdoors. He enjoyed fishing with his family and friends. Fixing up ski-doo’s, ATV’s and three wheeler’s made him very happy. His ability to make people laugh and hearing him share some of his stories is something many will miss.
Family & Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative – Perrin Chapel (128 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard, ON) on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 2-4 p.m.
In memory of Alex, donations to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation would be appreciated.

Alex was an amazing friend but always more of a brother. whenever help was needed you didn’t need to ask he always hopped right in an got his hands dirty knowing he would get to ride whatever we worked on or built. Alex will forever be in mine an my moms heart as the kind a caring young man that came to stay with us time an time again!

This world will never be the same without him, I swear his smile lit up the whole room, You were always there for me like a brother is. If I could go back in time I'd spend more of my time with you!
